Your May 2021 Teacher's Guide
Dear Teachers,
No matter how long you’ve been in the classroom, this past year has likely been the hardest of your career. We’ve watched in awe as you’ve switched back and forth from remote to in-person learning, created engaging lesson plans for every possible scenario, and shown your students unbelievable compassion.
What will back to school look like? None of us can be sure. But I do know you can count on us to help you rise to every challenge.
Here's what we are already exploring for next year:
1- More self-guided learning tools, like our Nonfiction Feature Slide Deck Lesson Plans
2- Additional SEL support— especially articles and activities that model hope and resilience
3- New ways to engage students, from graphic novel-style formats to grammar games
Got an idea for how we can help you navigate next year? Please drop me a line. I hope you have a safe, restful, and relaxing summer—you absolutely deserve it!
Warmly,
Kim Tranell, Editorial Director
